The Agency for Youth and Sports and the Union for Youth Work awarded certificates to 14 youth workers for a completed adult education program in accordance with the occupational standard Youth Worker. Thus, for the first time in our country, certified professionals will be recognized according to one of the profiles of the youth worker, in accordance with the National Portfolio of Youth Workers. The certificates were solemnly awarded by Naumche Mojsoski, Director of the Agency for Youth and Sports and Gjorgji Tasev, Advisor to the Prime Minister of the Republic of North Macedonia for youth and youth policies.

– The completed training and obtaining certificates paves the way for the recognition of “Youth Worker” as a profession that will be an integral part of every youth center and institutions as a whole. The Agency for Youth and Sports as an institutional partner of the Union for Youth Work remains on the path of youth participation in all spheres of society, said Mojsovski.

Youth Advisor Gjorgi Tasev said that this event is the crown of a process that began in 2017.

– The skills that young people acquire by participating in educational programs of this kind will help build a society in accordance with the needs of youth, said Tasev. The Secretary General of Youth Work Union also addressed the event, who together with the Agency for Youth and Sports conducted this four-month training based on the standard of occupation Youth Worker, approved by the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy.
